Why Save Hybrid

The pandemic forced us to enhance our ability to work remotely and led to the widespread use of hybrid work models.  These investments in technology and ways of working have unlocked benefits for employees but also challenges for employers.  With planning and intentionality hybrid work can work, and the benefits are too important to ignore.

1

Recruiting and Retention

Eliminating hybrid work or curtailing it increases attrition and makes it more difficult to attract and hire top candidates. A Zippia study found 83% of U.S. employees preferred hybrid and in a FlexOS research study, 66% of associates indicated they would quit or consider quitting with a mandate to return to the office full-time.

2

Time & Cost
of Commute

According to government commute statistics and employee surveys, hybrid employee working an average of 2.5 days/week vs a 5 days/week will, on average, avoid 110 hours of commuting time and save between $3,000 and $6,000 per year.

3

Employee Satisfaction and Wellbeing

In a recent study by the American Management Association (AMA), hybrid work improved job satisfaction in 70% of respondents and quality of life in 73% of respondents.

4

Office Space
Cost Savings

Based on our findings, a well implemented hybrid work plan can reduce real estate costs by 30% or more over a full in-office return, without degrading the in-office experience or work atmosphere.

5

Environmental Impact

When an organization takes steps to preserve hybrid work, it benefits both environment and the local infrastructure becomes more strained.  For every 100 employees that commute an average of 2.5 days/week versus 5 days/week, 181 metric tons of CO2 emissions are avoided annually.
